    產品介紹The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the chromogranin/secretogranin family of neuroendocrine secretory proteins. It is found in secretory vesicles of neurons and endocrine cells. This gene product is a precursor to three biologically active peptides; vasostatin, pancreastatin, and parastatin. These peptides act as autocrine or paracrine negative modulators of the neuroendocrine system. Other peptides, including chromostatin, beta-granin, WE-14 and GE-25, are also derived from the full-length protein. However, biological activities for these molecules have not been shown.     Function:
    Pancreastatin strongly inhibits glucose induced insulin release from the pancreas.

    Subcellular Location:
    Cytoplasmic vesicle, secretory vesicle lumen. Cytoplasmic vesicle, secretory vesicle membrane. Secreted. Note=Associated with the secretory granule membrane through direct interaction to SCG3 that in turn binds to cholesterol-enriched lipid rafts in intragranular conditions.

    嗜鉻粒素A蛋白存在與很多組織中：胃腸道內分泌細胞和類癌、甲狀旁腺、垂體前葉、腎上腺髓質、神經節、副神經節、胰島、甲狀腺C細胞等組織和其來源的腫瘤都表達該成分.嗜鉻素A（CgA）屬于可溶性的酸性蛋白，主要存在于神經內分泌細胞的分泌顆粒中，也存在于含有分泌顆粒的內分泌細胞和神經內分泌細胞來源的腫瘤細胞中。檢測循環中的免疫反應CgA對神經內分泌瘤具有診斷意義。另外，CgA的免疫組織化學檢測對鑒定來源于神經內分泌的腫瘤起到輔助作用。
